Ingredients
- Pastry
- 1 cups ½plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 100 grams butter
- teaspoon ½of salt
- cup ½of grated cheese
- salt

Instructions
- Preheat Oven to 180 degrees
- Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper
- Place flour, salt and butter in a bowl
- Rub in butter using just your finger tips until it resembles crumbs (or you can mix ingredients in a food processor)
- Add water a bit at a time until the dough comes together in a ball- you may not need all of the water. Do not over mix or overwork your dough
- Add grated cheese and gently mix in, again do not overwork the pastry
- Roll out on the board until it s a few mm thick
- Cut out the pastry into long strips, you can bake like this or twist
- As you are twisting each one place directly onto the baking paper
- Bake in oven for 12-15 minutes or until pastry is golden and crisp

1. Wrap pastry in glad wrap and chill in refrigerator for 30mins. Bring it to room temperature for 10-15mins before you try to roll it out
2. Add your favorite herbs dried or fresh (finely chopped) - oregano, basil, parsley to the pastry before cooking

4. Serve with a soup for lunch or as a tasty snack
5. Sprinkle unbaked straws with paprika
