Ingredients
- 1 tin of chick peas 400g
- 2 cloves garlic
- Juice of half a lemon
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 1 tablespoon tahini
- 1/3 cup olive oil

Instructions
- Open the can of chick peas and drain off excess liquid then add to the food processor bowl (save a little of the excess)
- Peel and roughly chop the garlic and add to the chick peas in bowl
- Add the tahini, salt, pepper, oil and lemon juice and blitz/mix in the food processor until smooth
- To make your hummus really smooth, add a little of the saved water from the chick peas when you drained them or a little extra oil
- Continue to blend until smooth
- Serve and enjoy!

Optional Extras
1. You can add a little ground cumin for an extra spice hit
2. Lightly toast some Lebanese or Pitta breads in the oven or toaster – serve them warm with hummus
3. You can also serve with carrot or celery sticks for a healthy lunch box dip
